Lacey Act Tools

As a means to assist U.S. importers in complying with the recently effective provisions in the Lacey Act calling for the species and genus of imported plants and plant products to be declared, APHIS has now added to the Lacey Act section of its website a screen that traders can use to determine the hierarchical classification of a product. The categories listed are kingdom, scientific or common name, rank and display options. For more details see http://plants.usda.gov/classification.html.

APHIS has also posted the Plant and Plant Product Declaration form.  It can be found on the Lacey Act subhome page at http://www.aphis.usda.gov/plant_health/lacey_act/index.shtml.
